Follow the Manufacturer's Manual

Marriage is still a good idea, because it was never a human idea to begin with. It is God's idea, created, designed, and ordained by Him long before mankind formed nations, governments, churches, schools, or businesses. Contrary to popular thinking, marriage was not something humanity invented as a convenient arrangement for companionship or child-rearing. It is of divine origin, established as the very foundation of the family, which in turn is the foundation of society itself. Before any other institution existed, marriage was already in place, carrying within it God's intended purpose and design for human relationships.

No new machine ever comes without a manual from its manufacturer, because only the one who made it can properly explain how it works and how to avoid misuse. Marriage operates on the same principle. To thrive, a marriage must be run according to the instructions of its Manufacturer, God, and His manual, the Holy Bible. It is deeply troubling to see Christian couples take their marital struggles to those with no regard for God's Word, or to see couples navigate their marriages without any reverence for His direction. This pattern inevitably shapes the next generation, who watch and absorb distorted perceptions of marriage, entering their own unions with wrong assumptions that often lead to battlegrounds rather than homes of peace. As Christians, it falls on us to consistently consult God in our plans for marriage, throughout our marriage, and in how we parent, so that we might faithfully reflect His true design for marriage to our children, our society, and the world.
