"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (NIV) John 8:32

Did you miss What is Truth? (Part II)

In this part of our devotional series entitled “What is Truth?”, we will explore the Bible for the Scriptural answers concerning this subject. As I stated in the previous parts, truth can be known by sincere seekers of it. This subject is of utmost importance because one’s soul is dependent upon the correct answer. Too many folks gamble with their religion when there is no need. The Scriptures are abundantly clear on what God wants for man to do in order to obtain salvation of their souls! Jesus Christ came to earth & paid the price for our sins with His precious blood so we could enjoy heaven for all eternity. (Acts 20:28).

In Jeremiah 6:16, the “weeping prophet” of old made this statement: “Thus saith the Lord, stand in the ways, & see, & ask for the old paths, where is the good way, & walk in it, & ye shall find it, & ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk in it.” Good people please don’t be found with the attitude of the people of Jeremiah’s day. In fact, we don’t have to go back so many years to find people like this today. Jesus said the majority will not find the right path. (Matthew 7:13, 14). They won’t find the right path, not because God has hidden it from them; not because God doesn’t want it found; not because you can be saved in any way of your choosing, but because God made the way so anyone can find it if they search for it! Please, find the old paths & then be willing to walk therein. Seek after it with a tender, fertile heart, regardless of what your ancestors practiced in the past. Follow after the old Jerusalem Gospel because this is the only way to salvation!
