"I will tell of the Lord's unfailing love. I will praise the LORD for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to His mercy and Love."
Isaiah 63:7 (NLT)Isaiah gives us four things to remember: tell of the Lord's unfailing love, praise Him for all He has done, rejoice in His great goodness, and trust the mercy and love by which He gives. First, remember that God loves you. Friends, colleagues, and family may fail you when you need them most, but the Lord never will. "The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant" (Psalm 25:10). Then sing the praises of His works in your life, both the open and the hidden. Jesus made clear that God desires praise (Matthew 21:16). If we stay silent about what He has done, even the stones will cry out (Luke 19:37-40).
Rejoice also in His goodness. It is a favor we can never earn, so there is no room for pride. We are privileged simply to be among the living today, and our salvation is not a reward for good works (Ephesians 2:9). Everything we have received rests on God's mercy and love. Despite our many wrongs, He does not throw us away. He hates sin but loves the sinner, and He sends rain on both the good and the bad (Matthew 5:45). As Christ's ambassadors, we are His witnesses to that love. God demonstrated it while we were still sinners, when Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Find joy in telling others of His unfailing love.
Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and for all You have done in my life, seen and unseen. Give me a joyful heart to praise You and a bold voice to tell others about Your goodness and mercy. Let my life testify to Your love. Amen.
