Seek the Lord while He may be found

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda Abena.

"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near." (NIV) Isaiah 55: 6

Prayer is an excellent tool for Christians. The days are evil and the times are perilous. Many are the challenges that we go through as Christians which often overwhelm us and prevent us from praying effectively to our Father. We only seek Him when these issues begin to overburden us and we see no other escape but the Lord. Today, we are being admonished by the prophet Isaiah that we ought to seek the Lord, whiles he may be found.

Undoubtedly, God is always near us and sees everything. However, His presence can be felt greatly when things are going on smoothly with us. James 1:17 says ALL GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT COMES FROM THE FATHER. Unfortunately, we often neglect our Father during these cozy times. We neglect Him and assume that we have arrived at this point in our lives by our own good deeds or strength. Beloved let us seek the Lord whiles He is near.

As the good things come our way, let us look for the Lord and give Him the praise due Him. For that’s the only way to see His goodness when all seems bleak and our challenges forces us think that God is far from us. God is always near us than we think, even closer than our own skins. Let us seek Him always especially during time when all is well and He is near before the evil days come.
