can we answer when GOD SPEAKS?

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda Abena.

“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me."(NIV) Job 38:2-3

Interestingly enough, our lives as Christians are no different from that of Job and our actions in times of crisis are the same. Although it is of no doubt that what Job went through was a more complicated and advanced form of tribulation, many of us also find ourselves in similar situations.

In times when all hopes are lost and we feel like giving up, many of us ask God so many questions. Questions that come out of our ignorance because we refuse to accept the fact that God has a designed plan for us. We focus on the immediate problem in our lives and the pain and humiliation that we may be going through to the extend that we can’t even see when God provides us a way out.

In our quest to singularly solve our problems, we tend to forget the architect of Earth and everything in it. Out of desperation, we ignore the great power of the God that parted the sea for the Israelites. Similarly, we doubt many biblical accounts of God's faithfulness and reliability and refer to them as mere stories.

Beloved brethren, it is when we live out the "so called" stories in the Bible, that we can experience the Power of God in this world in our lives especially in these difficult times of modernization. Before we question God, lets ask ourselves if we can answer when GOD SPEAKS?
