"You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. "(NIV) 2 Corinthians 9:11-12
We have learnt in the course of last month that God is faithful. In other messages we were told that God has given each one of us a task. He has entrusted us with gifts which he expects us to be loyal to. Some of us are blessed to be rich so we can help those who don't have. Others are not privileged so their lives can challenge the rich not to put their trust in what they have here on earth. Others are gifted with wisdom so they can help us avoid evil. Others are merciful so we can appreciate God's mercy and thank Him. Some of us have been made mothers and fathers so we can teach our children about God's love. Others are without their own children so that orphan can be shown love. The list goes on and on (Ephesians 4:11 -15).
In all of this, God expects us to live to our calling as we thank him for that opportunity to show love, kindness, humility, mercy and joy to others who lack these. By doing this, many around us will give thanks to God for your life. They will praise Him, because you have allowed yourself to be used as an instrument to accomplish God's plan in your life. Bible says whatever you do or say, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17). Do your part by praising God with your deeds and words and others will follow suit. Remember you will be rich in every way: Gifts and Grace.
