HOW DO I GET INTO CHRIST?

“If you belong to Christ then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (NIV) Galatians 3: 29

In Acts 4: 12, we read that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. So the question is how can I be saved? By which means would I be declared righteous before the most High God?

It is evident that from Genesis through to Revelation, God has laid a plan of salvation for mankind. This plan is fulfilled in Christ Jesus. Our ticket to heaven is in no other name than Christ. Therefore, as pilgrims in this world we must examine ourselves to see if we are in Christ and if we don’t, asked the question “how I can get in Christ?”

Let us take time to answer these questions. Have you heard anything about the man named Jesus? Do you believe in His name? Do you believe that He is far more than able to save you from the snares of the enemy?

If you do, then may I ask if you have repented from the works of the flesh: fornication, adultery, murder, drunkenness, smoking, abortion etc. (Galatians 5:19-21)? It is very important that we repent because God has fixed a day in which He will judge the world…Acts 17: 30, 31).

If we say we have repented, we must be ready to confess our sins. For it by confessing that we are SAVED (Romans 10: 9-10).

It is essential that we give ourselves to Baptism in order to be added to the Lord’s church. Colossians 2: 12 describes this all important aspect of our “to be a Christian mark” as a burial with Christ. We must therefore ensure that we are baptized by immersion in water (Acts 2:38, Rom 6:3-5)

Beloved brethren, do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked (Galatians 6:7). He has a plan for us to be saved and it is in Christ, His son. We must therefore take time to ask ourselves the above questions and ensure that our answers are right with God’s word and plan for us. Remember, “We can’t live wrong and die right” Whatever we sow, we shall reap (Galatians 6:7-8).
