Made for so much more! - Part 2
"The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."(NLT) 1 Samuel 16:7
Did you miss: Made for so much more! - Part 1
Beloved brethren, as God works on us, there are surely going to be times when we may have to let go to receive something more from God. I am not talking of letting go just small things in our lives. I am speaking of major changes in major parts of our lives. For some of us, we may have to give up just some things but for others, they may be more than your natural man can bear. The process may be heart-wrenching or just skin pricking. Whatever the situation you may go through, you need to understand it as part of the process of pruning for your soul.
Depending on your relationship with God, the cut may be deep or shallow. Yes, it’s because, sometimes, God may want to re-haul the whole system to get it to function efficiently as purposed. God will cut off every branch (anything including whatever underused or overused talent or gift) in us that doesn’t produce fruit (that includes the kind of fruits He expects), and He will prune the branches that do bear fruit (to enhances/sharpen the effective gifts and talents) so they will produce even more (amazingly beautiful fruits).”
Beloved, our innermost cries have reached God and for this year and the times ahead, we must be prepared for some overhauling from God. We must be ready to be pruned in every aspect of our lives. We must be ready to face our deepest fears and to be cut deep beyond our comfort zone. The pain may be beyond control but remember diamonds are mined deep in the earth. Unless we want to remain superficial in our service to God, unless we want to remain shallow in our love for God, unless we want to remain unproductive in the Kingdom; we must be ready and willing to feel God’s pruning shears. It may not be pleasant at first maybe because it's not as we planned. It may be heart-wrenching and unbelievably frustrating but trust me its worth every cut. For we were made for so much more than we are living now.
How ready are you? Remember, we are being molded by the potter into vessels of honor, how honorable do you want to be? God’s eyes are going through the earth looking for faithful hearts. Do you want to be a vessel of choice? 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT says “… The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” What is the state of your heart? Are you willing to be made for so much more in the house of God? Are you still interested in being ordinary or extraordinary? Whatever your heart yearns for in His house, get it pruned for you are made for so much more!!
