Are You too busy?
“Now as the king passed by, he cried out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and there, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man; if by any means he is missing, your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’ While your servant was busy here and there, he was gone.” (NKJV) 1Kings 20:39-40
Human beings have created for ourselves a lot of work and entertainment to keep us going and happy. That is part of the expectations of life and God have allowed it to be so. God expects all humans to have loads of activity including time for God. God have given every soul alive the same within the day for all things to be done.
Upon all the time God have granted to mankind, we mostly prefer to do our work and give excuse to God that we are busy. There are so many activities that are competing for our time, energy and other resources. There are so many things for people to learn, so many sports to watch or participate in and so much of other entertainment packages to be enjoyed.
Even though God have given us the power to make our choices, man cannot create his or her own time. Remember God have time limited to every individual as he wishes (Ps 90:10). Once you are alive this morning, you have another chance to do all what you wish for yourself and God.
Are you too busy all the time? Are you too busy to seek God if you are not a Christian yet? As a Christian, are you too busy to pray, to serve God, to help someone in need, to read your Bible and to join brethren of Christ to worship God? It is unfortunate but some people are too busy for heaven (2 Tim. 4:6-8)
