The daily invitation

“O taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.” (NIV) Psalm 34:8

Once I had a discussion with a gentleman who works with a very renowned beverage company. He was part of a team that tastes the beverages daily. He explained that not everyone is selected to be part of the team and to be part of the team is a big privilege. He also said there is a standard reference by which all the samples must taste like. This tasting is done daily so that all production meets the standard taste.

For the above beverage company, tasting is done daily and so is the call to all who have not come to taste who God is. Daily invitations are sent, so do not ignore the opportunity. The good news is that this invite is for all, not a particular group of people or a privileged few. Just accept the invitation to come and taste and then you will see the goodness of the Lord. This invite goes to all who have lost hope, those who are helpless, those who are weary, those who are looking for fulfillment, those who require peace and joy and those who are burdened. The goodness of the Lord is immeasurable, and it is unique in sweetness to each individual who comes to taste.

To those who are Christians, never stop tasting of the goodness of the Lord through daily studying of his word and daily recognition of the Lord’s goodness in your lives. This will build up your trust in Him on a daily basis, for those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:10).

And for non-Christians, never overlook these daily invitations to taste of the goodness of the Lord. You may have tried so many other invitations of the world, but they taste bitter and sour. However, there is a standard taste. Any other will not give you the desired taste. Give yourself the chance to accept the daily tasting invitation of the Lord and experience His daily goodness like some of us are enjoying by contacting the Daily Inspirer Team on www.dailyinspirer.org

God bless you.
