Showing forth His strength
“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him..."(NIV) 2 Chronicles 16: 9
The bible says in 2 Peter 1:10a that “therefore my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. We have been called by a Mighty God whose beginning is beyond our imaginations. He therefore requires that we exhibit certain qualities that show His presence in our lives. Many a times, God allows certain situations and challenges to come our way so that the world sees His Strength in us.
As Christians, one of the most essential qualities that make us effective and productive in the Lord is our ability to stand firm in the face of trials and temptations. The kind of trust that we put in God when things don’t go the way we want is the primary hallmark of a Child of God. This is what sets us apart from the world. The children of this world allow the problems to weigh them so that they see only how BIG their problems are from one another.
On the contrary as children of God (Christians) that we are, in times like this we ought to focus on our Maker, showing extreme faith in Him and seeing how BIG OUR GOD is in the face of the little challenges. However when we don’t depend on Him and we choose our own way, we will end up in so many troubles and we won’t be able to make our calling and election sure in Christ.
In conclusion beloved brethren, what makes us effective and productive Christians is when we trust and depend on God to show forth His Strength in our weakness. Let us remember that his eyes are on us to give us STRENGTH and our problems in this world are opportunities to discover Gods solutions.
