Our Integrity

By: Jiloml

“The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them."(NIV) Proverbs 11:3

Bible reading: Esther7:1-10

How firm and honest are we as Christians in this world especially in our relationships with friends, family members and love ones? Are we honest to God himself in the things that we do as children of God?

The people who walked with God in the past showed us how it pays to be honest in our dealings with God, friends and relations. Queen Esther was upright in God’s eyes. She did all that Mordecai (cousin) told her to do when she entered the king’s palace. She was obedient to her king although she was a Jew in a Persian kingdom. To this the LORD rewarded her with justice when Haman sought her downfall and that of Israel.

Therefore, an effective Christian is one who stays faithful and obedient in all situations. In the face of challenges he exhibits patience and waits for the Lord to bring deliverance through him to his people.

How is our life blessing others around us? Do we acknowledge the sins in our lives and repent of them so God can use us? Today Jesus is reminding us of the things that make us yield fruit in His vineyard and make us blessings in this world; OUR INTEGRITY. Let us avoid the danger of being obstacles for the growth of our fellow believers in Christ. Instead let us encourage them with our lifestyles as we stay faithful to the Lord at all times. For if we keep firm in the doctrine given to us we shall save ourselves and the people who are looking up to us.
