WHERE IS YOUR CITY?

“You are the light of the world. A city placed on a hill cannot be hidden” (NIV) Matthew 5:14

There is so much beauty in finding some light in a dark image. The scripture, Matthew 5: 14, calls on us to demonstrate the life of Christ in us, as Christians, in the environment we exists.

Brethren, please have you made time to ponder on some questions like these: How different are we, as Christians, in terms of our life style from the individuals in our society? Are you making a significant difference in helping improve the life of someone in every environment you find yourself? Do you have an idea on some of the keywords that your friends do use to describe you to others? Do people around you see Christ in your way of life?

Reflecting on Philippians 4: 4-9 and Galatians 5: 22-23 provides us with beautiful and rich ingredients to be the light the world needs. As we make use of these recipes, we not only build ourselves as Christians but also bring people in the dark to enjoy the light that we share as a city placed on a hill.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Martin Luther King, Jr.".

Beloved, let us love for God is love (1 John 4:8). Cheer up my brethren if your light has grown dimmer and make time to recharge yourself to be like a city built on a hill.
