“So that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.(NIV) Philippians 2: 15

What a marvelous message to hear on such a wonderful day as today. We must be indeed blessed as Christians. If we are blessed in such a high manner then it shouldn’t be difficult to be effective for God. You know why?
Simply because the strength, the attitude and the qualities that make a Christian productive is given freely by God. It therefore beholds us to submit to the word of God which is able to mold us into effective and productive Christians.
In Philippians 2: 14, God’s word says that we are to do everything without complaining or arguing. This is a hallmark of an effective Christian. He or she doesn’t take delight in less trivial matters. Effective Christians don’t make room for unnecessary argument that will cause the loss of souls.
The effective Christian is one that knows that he/she is like a star that shines in the universe. And as stars we brighten the life of others. Are we causing other peoples’ lives to be beautiful? If we aren’t, then we aren’t being effective and productive in God and as such God will spit us from his mouth.
Let us hold out the word of life for others to clearly see in this crooked and depraved generation in the universe. Philippians 2:16.
