To be effective Christians, we must know that we are certainly of God. We can live as effective Christians of God if we walk in assurance, with certainty showing a sense of confidence in God.
Being effective and productive means not being confused with what pleases the Lord. In a world where there is no certainties, no objective truth standing, no truth that is relevant for everybody, we, as effective Christians, must meet it squarely. How do we do this?
We must know that we are of the true God who is able to comfort us during the uncertainties with his word (Holy Bible). It is by reading, studying and meditating that we are made strong and effective in Christ.
As Christians in the business of God, let us keep ourselves from idols, praising God for the certainty of our FAITH. Idols may not be necessarily a wooden image of creatures as we usually perceive. The devil in his cunning ways has brought a lot of different forms of idols which we worship unknowingly. These can be our work, television, internet, relationships and even our family. Idols basically draw us away from God by depriving us of the time to spend with God through reading and studying the bible, prayers and fellowship with brethren. What idol do you have in your life?
Let the word of God, which is our knowledge of Him guide us as we learn to be effective and productive in our walk with the LORD. AMEN.
