Reflection

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda A..

“…I will extol you, O LORD, for you have lifted me up, and have not let my enemies rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me...” (NASB) Psalm 30:1-2

What did I do to deserve this Love? Who am I that you should care so much about?

When all I have done in return is to neglect and despised thy word

I have by the life I live defiled the very meaning of your existence

In my ignorance, I have closed the doors of my heart to him who has done nothing but loved me unconditionally.

And having being led by the traditions of this World, I have blindly closed my eyes to the light that gave me life

Ooh how miserable and despicable my life is without you, sweet love. You are indeed my fountain and living spring from which I quench my thirst

The name that gives hope, builds faith and inspires love

The solid foundation of the universe on which everything exist and nothing exist that doesn’t find meaning in you

The only reality of the world, thank you for lifting me up with your light

And giving me hope of a better tomorrow filled with love and faith in your name

I am glad you lifted me from my miserable pit and messy situation and placed me on the hill, the city that can’t be hidden

Thank you JESUS, for lifting me up and never leaving me thirsty. May my life be a fragrant offering that continually ascends to you. Amen!
