The best figher is never angry

"Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools."(NIV) Ecclesiastes 7: 9

Anger is one of the tools that we use often to express our emotions to others. Since anger is a form of expression of emotion, it is in itself not a sin but if uncontrolled it then becomes sin to us. It is also worth noting that every man has the tendency of getting angry depending on your temperament but managing it is key we must always learn to have.

Why does one get angry? We get angry when we are met with dislikes, mistrust, when people wrong us or when people are failing to understand us. We should understand that we cannot control the environment or how people behave towards us but what we can control is how we respond or react towards those situations or people. The view from the apostle in scripture was these ‘If angry, beware of sinning. Let not your irritation last until the sun goes down’ Ephesians 4:26. Getting angry easily is not something a child of God should boast of, because it can easily lead to sin.

The effect of Anger is always dangerous. It’s like we are out of our mind. It will lead us to do evil things and feel remorseful afterwards. Let us always remember the wise saying; ‘the best fighter is never angry’ and put done that fist or swallow those awful words in order to win the situation. May God help us.
