What do you have?

“Then the Lord said to him, what is that in your hand?” (NIV) Exodus 4:2

One of the fundamental principles of Christianity is the recognition that all things were created by God (Genesis 1:1-31) and that God owes everything. However, it has become obvious that many of us are not taking responsibility of that which we have which was given by God.

It is important to note that before we can be responsible for what we have, we need to identify what we have that requires us to be responsible for. When God asked Moses what he had in his hand, one would wonder if God could not see what Moses had in his hand. But we all know that even a mortal man would be able to identify that Moses had a staff, how much more the almighty God we serve? My conclusion anytime I read this is that, it is what we have that God can use and we must have self recognition of what we have, that He will use. SO I ASK, WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-15, we read that the three men did not receive equal talents from their master. The master gave each servant what he thinks each servant can account for. God also gives us exactly what He thinks we can account for. Our task is to identify what has been given us and allow Him to use it to His glory. And we can allow Him to use what we have to His glory by working tirelessly with what we have in accordance with His word.

If you have not identified what you have that He can use, pray and He will show you what you have. But for the start, what about looking at your life as what you have now and live your life to please Him. God bless you!
