A meaningful life: Life is not futile

Written by Eddy Amihere.

Did you miss: A meaningful life (introduction)?

If life has no origin then there is no destination and if there is no destination, then there is no meaning to life. Life is not pointless and can never be useless. God tells Jeremiah “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV). And continues to say in the same book “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). There is a source for our being and that source promises us a future and hope, so we have a course to live for. Our being on this earth is not meaningless for God Himself created us for His Own Glory (Isaiah 43:7).

God through Christ paints the entirety of life to us from start to end. Christ being the author and finisher of our faith has traversed the way of life. Jesus is the way through this life, He is the only truth that life really entails and He is the ultimate life that all humanity should crave for. Only when we recognize the source of our life and seek the absolute truth there we will be liberated (John 8:32) to attain the ultimate life and we will understand that our journey here on earth is not futile. Life has a meaning.
