Jesus, the Lamb. He is the Lion too

Written by Douglas Agyapong.

"Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him." (NIV) Nahum 1:6

In John 1:29, John the Baptist saw Jesus approaching and referred to Him as God’s Lamb. We often prefer to see God in the image of a Lamb because it is the gentle and less hostile side of Him. Due to this, our sins are often disinhibited. We love to sin just because we are sure God would forgive. This is incorrect.

In Rev. 5:5 and in many other scriptures, Christ is referred to as ‘the Lion of the tribe of Judah.’ Therefore, as we relate to the gentleness of God, let us remember, also, that He's a lion. We cannot stand His wrath if we push Him to the wall.

In talking about God's grace, Paul quickly asks: “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?” Then he quickly adds: “By no means!” (Rom. 6:1-2)

Let us do our best to refrain from sinning and not abuse His grace. God richly bless you.
