No job too small

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda Abena.

“Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel? "(NIV) Zechariah 4:10

Whatever we find ourselves doing in the house of God, let us do it with all our might. What is it that you can do for God? Can you clean, sing, preach, read fluently etc.? Well, you can make God proud by making excellent use of your talents. You are not a waste in the house of God. Be an active participant in the house of God.

Sometimes we argue that we can’t do anything. That’s undoubtedly wrong. We can do more things than we think. When we fellowship with other believers, we must get involved in all that is done in God’s house.

A preacher once made a statement in church. He said when we come to church to worship God; some people sit there doing nothing. I believe God didn't call us for this. During worship, God demands our all. Even if you can’t sing, your heart is something you can give to God when you follow all that is done in church, pay attention and avoid disturbing others in the House of God.

This means all of us can do something for God. It doesn't have to be big. No job is too small in the house of God. Your silence during preaching time can save a soul.

God’s eyes are indeed ranging through the earth and He is seeking to reward us for the things that we do to spread His gospel, even the things we see as little.

The dewdrop does God’s work just as the Thunderstorm. Don’t belittle yourself in the Kingdom of God. Use what God has given you to His glory whether little or big.
