Written not with ink

Written by Derrick Owusu Antwi.

“You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (NIV) II Corinthians 3:2-3.

Paul, an apostle of Christ in his writing to the church at Corinth indicated how the church recommended Timothy and himself as true men of God.

You can tell if a man is not a real man of God by what he does. He doesn't need to have a letter/book (Matthew 7:15-16).

The church in Corinth was the product of Paul and Timothy's work (I Corinthians 9:1-2); however, Christ 'wrote the letter' in their hearts.

In conformity with our theme in August, we are encouraged to preach Christ daily.

However, have we given a bit of thought to it that at times, not only words/letters do the preaching?

Certainly, our godly lifestyle also counts. We live in an era, where action speaks so as words; but as Christians, we should strive to let our actions and/or inactions speak more.

Our good deeds should portray that; indeed the 'letters' are written in our hearts.

Beloved, let's strive to preach Christ daily with our good deeds towards every endeavour of our lives, so as to continually reach out to others too. Amen.
