Let Love Lead Us
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (NIV) 1 John 4:7-8
Some people have tried many means to discredit God as the creator of the universe. No matter how hard man tries to discredit God, we get the same conclusion that this beautiful universe was carefully designed by divine power who did it because of his love for his creation (Col.1:16). The universe we see and live upon was created by love, it is still enjoying that love and will one day end with the same love that initiated it (2 Peter 3:7).
God’s purpose for creating the world was to get humanity to whom he can demonstrate his love. It is evident in the provision of all the other resources before the creation of mankind. The universe is being maintained by God's love for his purpose. Many natural and artificial disasters had hit the world if not for the grace of God none of us should be alive. The current COVID19 is scary enough for us to see. We are alive by God's love and his providence for us daily.
Jesus Christ came on earth to die because he loved sinners and does not want sinners to perish but rather enjoy perpetual love from him (John 3:16). Humanity was helpless in our sinful nature and His love compelled Him to rescue us after the fall of man. God still loves and cares for his creation.
Some of us have given our lives to Christ and feels how it tastes to be a child of God. But many in the world are traumatized, disappointed, deceived by sin and the enemies of God and are yet to know God. Dear Christians, we cannot pretend we are not aware of the torture sin is putting on humanity. If we love God, we will surely love others created by God but fallen into the traps of satan.
Let us be moved by the same love of God that has saved us into Christ and is still working in us to work for God. Let us be useful tools to God by following up on Jesus work of showing love and preaching to dying souls. Let us continuously feel for the dying world of sin by sharing the powerful word of God that can pierce the heart of mankind leading to salvation. We should not quench the love of God in us but rather let it flourish for others to see. Let the beautiful and perpetual love story of God continue through you.
