Life without God
“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.” (NIV) Romans 8:5-7
Nowadays people are more interested in worldly desires than spiritual ones. They are more focused on working hard and smart to attain self-gratification or accomplishments. In fact, there is the continuous neglect of quiet time with God and Christ’s great commission to Christians because we believe we are busy. People are now their own “gods” worshipping themselves and their businesses. But whenever people don’t know and acknowledge God, sin and disobedience reign. No wonder the world is now full of various social vices like domestic abuses, broken homes, indiscipline, drug and substances abuses, fornication, killings and many more (Galatians 5:19-21).
Many people are living lives as if the universe has no owner. Yahweh is the creator and owner of this world (Gen. 1:1) and He has a plan and purpose for our lives. The universe shows the presence of God and we can’t fail to see this. Do not let the world deceive you with worldly pleasures of sin and lawlessness.
Living a life as if there is no God has terrible consequences no one should dare for. Chains of education cannot transform the world from sin, nor the building of huge prisons but rather God and His word have that infinite power to achieve that (Heb. 4:12). Let us acknowledge God for who He is, what He has done and what He will surely do. God is surely the answer and the solution the world needs.
