Christ Is Willing and Able
"A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.-AMEN!" (NIV) Matthew 8:2-3
Is it possible to be willing to undertake a project yet the ability to do so isn’t available? Is it also possible to have the ability to undertake a project yet the willingness to do so is absent? I believe the answers to these two questions will be “YES” and “YES”. Whichever way the question goes, if one has only willingness or only ability, no project can be accomplished. It is necessary to have both willingness and ability to ensure that a goal is achieved.
Today, I want to introduce to you the only person who is willing and has the ability at any particular time to accomplish any goal. His name is CHRIST. He is ever willing and able to touch you and heal you of your infirmities, He is very much willing and able to quiet the storms in your life, He is more than willing and able to give you peace and joy and do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever ask for. However, just like the man with leprosy, all you have to do is, just ask and believe that He is willing and capable to grant your heart desires
When all hope is lost, when no help is near and when man has tried and failed, it is time to ask the only one who is willing and able to do what He alone can do, to take over. As you ask Him to take over, you must trust that He has taken over and then, let it be evident through your posture (no more worrying, keep being positive and joyful, knowing who you have asked to help). May we continue to experience the goodness of the Lord, today, and all the days of our lives. God bless you.
