Stranger’s Life

Written by Alfred Ofori Agyemang.

"For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. " (KJV) Heb. 11:14-16

There are so many theories concerning the origin of this universe and the creatures within it. No matter how hard one may try to discredit the Biblical stories of the genesis of this world (Genesis 1), it is still the most outstanding story ever told in human history that still sounds. The Biblical accounts of the origin of the universe point to the fact that God is the definite creator of the universe and all creatures within it.

All humanity came from God and that we are all foreigners on this planet. Because God created humanity for himself, he expects all people to live their lives to suit His purpose and to return to heaven where God is. For you to be part of the home of God (heaven), accept that this world is not your home and that you are a sojourner on a mission home. The next concern is how do you organize yourself as a traveller to keep your mission intact without losing focus?

There are so many fun fares in this world distracting us from achieving our purpose as transiting people to a better place created for eternal rest and joy. Fellow Christians, do not love this world and the things of this world (1 John 2:15) so as to concentrate our lives to duties of living and working for God. If you are not a Christian, accept to be part of God and his church to secure a place in heaven.

Also, remember that the enemy envies where God is taking his creatures to and that he is presenting so many obstacles to frustrate you from eternal happiness. Why do you want to sacrifice an eternal joyful home for a short lust for this world? Your maker is still decorating a beautiful home for you above (where there are no troubles and pains). You have a choice to either to be part of eternal happiness at heaven or not. Don’t lose focus. Always begin everything with the end in mind. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. God bless you.
