The joy in telling God's unfailing love

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda Abena.

"I will tell of the Lord’s unfailing love. I will praise the LORD for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to His mercy and Love.”. (NLT) Isaiah 63: 7

So I was moved to share my part of this testimony with brethren in the Lord as a source of encouragement to them. If there is something that I want you my brothers and sisters to remember about this text as it develops are these highlighting words: Unfailing love (tell), Works of God (praise), Goodness of God (rejoice in it), His Mercy and Love (grants).

First of all, in all that you do, remember that God loves you. His love is unfailing like a mother's love. Friends, colleagues, parents, family members, church brethren, etc. will fail you at some point in life when you need them badly, but JEHOVAH GOD will never fail you (Psalm 25: 10- The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands). He is the only one who will stand with you in the storms of life. Trust in Him and tell others of His Unfailing Love, and your life will never be the same.

In addition, sing the praises of God’s works in your life. Many are the things He does in our lives both openly and secretly. In all these works of God in our lives, we ought to praise him for them. Jesus made us understand that God requires us to praise Him. (Matthew 21:16b, Psalm 89:5, Rev 19:1). We as well as his creation ought to praise him. However, if we refuse to tell people of His mighty hands in our lives, He will raise stones to do them (Luke 19: 37- 40).

The goodness of God is one area we as Christians can’t deny enjoying from God. I will say I have tapped into this goodness and I rejoice daily in this extraordinary favor from God. You too can say the same if you would empty yourself of every pride and count yourself fortunate and highly privileged to be among the living today. It isn’t any act of good works for us to boast as is the case of salvation (Ephesians 2:9).

Finally beloved in Christ, trust that all that you have and have received are based on the mercies and love of God. In spite of the many wrongs we commit against him, He never throws us away. We know God hates sins but he does love the sinner immensely and for that, he shows us his love and showers us with his mercies. He causes rain to fall on both the good and bad (Matthew 5:45).

Beloved, God demonstrated His love that whilst we were still sinners Christ died for our sins. Romans 5:8, so let’s find the joy in telling others of God’s unfailing love.
