Fellowship is pivotal

Written by Douglas Agyapong.

"not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (NIV) Hebrews 10:25

People often say that they are Christians who believe in Jesus Christ but they do not attend any church; "they worship Christ in their hearts.” They express that belonging to a church is not necessary.

Today, we realize that a Christian is required to belong to a fellowship of saints and to meet up with them as much as possible.

The concept of Christianity is tightly hinged on love which cannot be exercised in isolation. God requires that different entities, each having a unique role, come together and support one another unto salvation. Remember those words: “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…” (Gen. 1:28); “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone…” (Gen. 2:18). Hence, realize that man was never meant to be alone. God has always intended not to save individuals but to save a group; a family.

Dear friend, you need to be part of a church and you need to attend meetings regularly. Fellowship is pivotal.
