COMFORT, COMFORT SAYS THE LORD

“The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord, Joy and Gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.” (NIV) Isaiah 51:3
Just as we can’t avoid evil and wickedness in this world, so also the numerous trials that come our ways are inevitable. The struggles in this world have become so unbearable to the extent that Christians wonder if our God is watching and feeling our pains.
Fortunately for us as Christians, we serve a living God who is very sensitive to the cries of his children. He cares so much for us that His ears are very attentive to us. It is no surprise that God encourages us with these words in the face of all these troubles in the world. We must remember what His word says, “He will surely comfort us”.
He will turn our sorrows to joy and we will flourish in everything we do as Christians. We only need to turn to Him and trust Him completely even when He seems quiet in our difficult times.
May God bless us and strengthen us in all our endeavours
