Maximizing Our Love Ability

Written by Christopher Opey Tetteh.

“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (NIV) Colossians 3:14

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (NIV) 1 Corinthians 13:13

It is a fact that kindness is really a good virtue, and everyone must practise it. The main theme of the Bible is love. Humans were involved in God's redemptive scheme in the name of love though we don't deserve it due to our sinful and adamant nature. God's love is unfailing and greater, I would say! Therefore, as Christians, it is necessary that we pick up the same character of love and portray it to the world.

Much is expected of us as we worship God in His Kingdom. We must love and care for one another. Just like the Philippians who proved their love for the Apostle Paul when he was facing agony, tribulation and persecution (Philippians 2:25; 4:18), we also must put our fellow neighbors first and also know that everything we do for them is being done for the God who created us and whom we worship.

If you love God, you will love your neighbor, and if you love your neighbor then you must know that their burdens are automatically your burdens as well.

I want to encourage you that all your good deeds will not go unnoticed by God and I assure you that you will be rewarded only if you don't relent, but continue the good work to the very end. May we not luck love, kindness, humility and understanding as Christians.
