Transformation through renewal of mind
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect" (NLT) Romans 12:2
As the year began, I sat down to reflect on my life. I didn't care so much about what I was able to do or not do in the previous year. I just summarised how I want my life to be: “Growth and Persistence”.
I just wanted to grow a notch higher in all the critical aspects of my life: godliness, health, education, work and career, and relationship. I realized I didn't need any radical new plans or ideas for these areas of my life. I just needed a renewed sense of purpose to grow and be persistent in my growth in these areas. My challenge is not a lack of ideas or plans; my challenge is to cultivate the right attitude; the winning mindset.
Attitude and mindset are closely knit. Attitude is everything! A bad attitude is like a flat tire. Until you change it, you are going nowhere. May God help us to transform our minds and renew our sense of purpose for growth and maturity.
