Clay in the potter's hands

Written by Richmond Ofosu Gyamfi.

"But who are you, O man to talk back to God. "Shall what is formed say to who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this? ’Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? " (NIV) Romans 9:20-21

Our God is the Ancient of Days; He knows what is best for us. Our lives are not our own, therefore it is not for us to direct our own steps (Jeremiah 10:23). We should always know that the will of man and his heart desire will never bring success. No matter what man does, his strength fails him when it is needed most.

In light of this, when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was on earth, he always prayed to petition His Father for the Father’s will be done in His Life and not His will (Matt 26:39).

Do we do the same? Do we ask for the will of God to be done in our lives?

"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21.

As humans, we would have loved it our own way, but let’s allow His will to direct us for that leads to TRUE SUCCESS.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Beloved, we are clay in the potter’s hands (God) so let us wholly trust in our maker, our strength and understanding will fail us, but if He (our God) directs us, we shall always come out victorious (Proverbs 3:3-5). THE LORD IS NEAR.
