Living everyday as the last day

Written by Christabel Ofori.

“so you must be ready, because the son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him"(KJV) Matthew 24:44

The bible makes it clear we do not know the second coming of Jesus. He Himself doesn't know except God (Matthew 24:36). This points out that we should work on our faith and hold fast to our salvation with all we got. We should focus on consecrating our lives to God and totally surrendering to His will while we work on living righteous lives just as we are admonished in Hebrews 12:14 "make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be Holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (NIV).

We should also make up our mind that earth is not our home and focus our minds on eternity. This will require us to avoid making up excuses such as using church services to cover up for not having a personal relationship with God. My brethren, the last days are near, therefore our everyday lives should reflect as a “rapturable” soul.

Ephesians 5:5 "for this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a person is an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God" (NIV)
