The way Home

Written by Alfred Ofori Agyemang.

"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (NIV) Heb. 12:14.

Life on earth is like going shopping after which you are expected to return to your house. God created all humans on earth (Gen 2:7) but whether all human beings can return to God is a very big question that demands a personal and divine answer.

One answer is certain, that, all Christians have taken the right route in their return journey to God. The home for Christians is a reality and not a mirage. Every Christian will surely return home one day to be where God is. Heaven is the home for all Christians who are Ambassadors of Christ on earth to promote kingdom business. Humans should never accept the earth as their permanent home because, no matter what happens, we will all leave this earth one day (Heb 9:27).

There is a sure way to Heaven through Jesus the Messiah (Jn 14:6). This road to heaven is very safe. There are so many decisions we make on earth which have no assurance of coming to pass, however, the decision to be a Christian and get to heaven through Christ is the best decision you can ever make because it is certain.

The way home is a joyful road because of the promises that await us. You cannot afford to miss your eternal home with God for any reason. What awaits us is so great that it beats imagination (Rom 8:18). The road home is also like a highway. A highway does not happen by accident. It comes by careful planning, preparation before the construction begins. Fortunately, the master, Jesus, who is a chief engineer has created a perfect plan and given us the coordinates to help us execute the rest.

It is worth noting that the road to our home in heaven is a clean one and meant for those with clean lives. The guaranteed means of living a clean life is to keep being holy as a Christian. We need careful planning on how to live our lives and how to take steps to arrive at our eternal home.

If you are not a Christian yet, you must accept Jesus as Saviour, be baptised and be part of His Kingdom as you live in holiness.
