Someone said a prayer!

Written by Mantebeah Elizabeth Matilda Abena.

"I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers." (NIV) 2 Timothy 1:3

Have we ever considered the fact that our being alive and in good health is not as a result of our own doing? When we retire to bed most of the time without praying, have we considered the plans of the evil one against us that have been nullified by God? Have we taken time to ask why we receive countless blessings in our lives no matter how hard it may be generally for everyone else?

Do we know why we are honored and highly favored by people? In fact, what did we do to deserve that opportunity, breakthrough, grace or mercy we are enjoying as we read this? While many people long for opportunities and breakthroughs in their lives, you and I have already received such. What right do we have? Why us? What makes us so special?

It’s simple; like Timothy, someone has said a prayer for us. Paul went down on his knees and prayed for Timothy. Paul thanked God for Timothy’s life and asked God for blessings – spiritual and physical – for him and for that matter Timothy excelled in everything. He became a good example for other believers.

Today I want you to know that our beautiful, glorious and envious life maybe as a result of someone’s prayer for our lives. Someone dear to God’s heart prayed and is praying fervently for us. It beholds on us to thank God for their lives; those we know and those we may have no idea of. And also pray for others.

Cool off in prayer for He cares! || More
