Tools are useful for getting work done in a more efficient way. As Christians, we have many tools to help us effectively live on earth and prepare us for heavenly glory. For the month of February, we wish to focus our daily time with God on five of these tools termed as Everyday Power Tools: Faith, Prayer, Bible Study and Accountability.

Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, we are always encouraged to live by faith in the Son of God (Gal. 2:20). Our faith should be unshakable, unmovable and impenetrable by all the deceits and darts of the evil one. Most of his deceits are fashioned into all forms of modernization and human wisdom (2 Cor. 11:3,14).

Life will be filled with good times and bad ones too. Prayer is the medium of attracting our Father’s attention to our situation. His words say if we ask anything according to the will of our Saviour Jesus Christ, he will hear us (1 John 5:14). Our Father is always ready to listen to us and offer a helping hand. It might not be immediate, but he will surely execute his perfect plan that will make us smile at the end.

Bible Study and Accountability are essential tools to keep us on track on our heavenly journey. Studying the Bible will help us to know the will of the Father and what is required of us. It is the daily bread for our souls (Matthew 6:11). Self-accountability reminds us to take our food (Bible Study) regularly and consistently obey the word of God.

Please, take some few minutes to examine your life to see if you have these five power tools and whether they are still sharp or blunt. Journey with us this month as we build one another’s faith, prayer life, and Bible study so that we can be accountable to God at His second coming. God bless you. Get inspired!
