Who are You?
“what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” (NIV) Psalm 8:4
Humanity in the past century has advanced so much in knowledge and understanding of the physical world. Lots of theories have been developed and proven to explain many naturally occurring processes. We have taken such understanding of this physical world to our advantage in influencing processes such as improving life on earth. These knowledge and resources have also been invested in defense and warfare. Yes, these are great physical advancements but what about our spirituality?
One way to find answers is to reflect on the question: “Who are You?”. To begin with, you are a creature of the Most High God. You are made up of Soul, Spirit and Body. You are an image of the Most High created with an eternal and divine purpose. You are created to serve Yahweh and your fellow man in truth, humility and obedience (Ecclesiastes 12:13, Mark 12:30-31, Ephesians 2:10). But to accomplish this successfully, you need to reflect more to identify what God has endowed in you and how to use it for His glory (1 Peter 4:10-11).
Beloved, let us take time to know more of the spiritual reasons why God created us and work to achieve them. Who are You?
