Partner for life
"Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and was completely calm." (NIV) Mark 4:38-39
Whenever we want to start a new project, we try to learn from people with experience or have a mentor to guide us through. In all aspects of our lives, we want partners to help accomplish our missions. Some want partnership in marriage, business, studies, training, entertainment, religion and many more. Trusted and interesting companions make life easier and happier.
As humans, idle life and loneliness are difficult to cope with. However, choosing companions and friends have also led many into problems. The good news is that when all others fail, and human comfort flees, Jesus Christ, our best companion, never fails. He will be there for you through thick and thin. Yes, Christ is the answer to all the storms of life.
The year will be full of both pleasant and unpleasant circumstances. Where will you stand and who will you consult during the storms of life? Peter and the other Apostles panicked with Almighty Christ in their boat. Their several years of experience could not save them until they called the Messiah for help. He did not fail them; He calmed the storms with His powerful words. Beloved, do not panic when Christ is in your boat. Choose Jesus now and always to be your partner for life. Amen.
