Manifest your faith

Written by Dede Abebreser Tsonyake.

"And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because any one who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." (NIV) Hebrews 11:6

The word faithful comes from two separate words-“faith” and “full”. “FAITH”, in Hebrews 11:1 is defined as being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. “Full”, from the Macmillan English dictionary is defined as having or containing a lot of something.

For someone to be faithful means that the person has a lot of certainty of what he/she does not see-and in this case, the unseen here, is God. The belief, trust and loyalty to God though we do not see Him, is the act of being faithful to God.

In Acts 2, when the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit, it manifested for everyone to see. Likewise, to be “full” of “faith”, it must also manifest for everyone to see. It must manifest in our daily relationship with our maker as well as with our fellow human beings.

What is your manifestation of being faithful to God? Is it evangelizing His word to others as He has directed us to do OR is it showing an act of kindness to another person, OR is it praying without ceasing, OR is it diligently learning the word of God and living a godly life? What is your manifestation of your faithfulness to God?

The time has come to examine yourself and identify this manifestation of your faithfulness to God because for our Maker to be pleased with us, we as Christians have no choice than to walk the path of being faithful to Him.

Can you imagine God being pleased with you? How does it even feel for another human to be pleased with you? - fulfilling, I suppose. If for another human to be pleased with you feels fulfilling, how much more rewarding will it be for God to be pleased with you? Your guess is as good as mine.

According to your faith, let it be done unto you || More
