We are more than conquerors!

Written by Dede Abebreser Tsonyake.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” (NIV) Romans 8:35

The past year has seen so many of us going through so much misery that we are questioning if God is still looking out for our good. Many were the things we seek of Him but never got. Some want jobs while others want a job change. Some are looking for life partners while others are require fruit of the womb. Some are mourning the death of love ones while others are asking for healing. The list goes on and on. Many are disappointed God did not grant their hearts desire even though they have prayed fervently. There are others who have been through painful situations throughout last year and hoping this year will start on a better page but things seem to be either the same or worse.

I have had my own share of pain and I believe that this year will be better because I trust the one who said He will make all things work for my good (Romans 8:28). He never promised that all things that come my way will be pleasant but He assures me that whatever comes my way, whether good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, it is for my good. This is the hope I sell freely to you today.

As long as we have agreed to be Christians, our journey is not going to be a smooth one but we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us (Romans 8:36-37). So my brother, my sister, cheer up, never give up the faith because it will not be long when all your misery will turn to smiles and you will come to understand why you had to go through all these. Hold on fast to the promise He gives in Romans 8:28 and just us He did for Hannah, Job and some others in the Bible so He will do for you too. God bless you.
